Event Description: The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the first annual Gold Country Half Marathon & 5k run event. The run will start and finish at the El Dorado Hills Town Center on Sunday, June 11th, 2017. The half marathon course will cross Silva Valley Parkway and circle the Village Center Shopping Center along Village Center Drive before crossing Green Valley Road on El Dorado Hills Blvd. We will have an aid station at the Village Center Shopping Center which is the halfway point of the half marathon run course. The event will showcase El Dorado Hills as a place to play, visit, live and conduct business. We expect 1,000 runners and 5,000 people in attendance from the counties of El Dorado, Sacramento, Placer, Sutter, Yuba, Yolo and Amador. The average runner will be 30-59 years old with 75% averaging an income of over $75,000. Runners will generally be healthy, active, married, home owners with a college and/or advanced degree. The run courses will be supported by local schools, organizations and volunteers at aid stations at every mile along the course.
