Event Description:
The inaugural El Dorado Hills Farm-2-Fork dinner presented by Serrano Associates, will truly be a feast in the foothills experience. Upon arrival into beautiful La Borgata at Serrano, guests will be greeted by valets and led to check in. A hostess will walk them to their table and hand them their keepsake wine glass to sip on El Dorado Country and Amador County paired wines throughout the evening. We will also have a selection of local beer available for those who prefer beer over wine. From 4-5pm guests will sample select appetizer courses prepared by Flightz Wine Pub in La Borgata, 36 Handles Pub and Eatery in the Montano Shopping Center in El Dorado Hills, and Diane Wilkinson Catering in El Dorado County. Guests will have the option of sipping on El Dorado County’s Wofford Acres Vineyards' South Fork Hard Cider to start the evening off with something bubbly. Guests will also be served fresh apple cider from Rainbow Orchards in El Dorado County as a non-alcoholic option for dinner. From 5-7pm guests will be served three courses by our premier chefs with much of the produce being provided by the event’s Premier Sponsor, Raley’s, who regularly support the Farm-to-Fork movement in their stores by buying and selling from local farms and ranches around the region. - Chef Russell Okubo with Aji Japanese Bistro in El Dorado Hills, will serve seared Bluefin tuna with a honey soy glaze made with local honey from El Dorado Honey Company. Fresh local baby greens, blistered winter squash from Rainbow Orchards, with a Yuzu vinaigrette. Paired with a Lava Cap Chardonnay made in El Dorado County. - Chef Jeremiah Maloney with Henry’s Steakhouse in Red Hawk Casino in Placerville, will serve fall herb lamb chop with local herbs and ingredients including sorrel, parsley, thyme, preserved lemon, garlic shallot, Cipollini, and parsnip confit. The lamb will be served with an apple watercress salad and paired with a Borjon Reserva Barbera made in Amador County. - Chef Tom Lucero with Sienna Modern American/Land Ocean New American Restaurants, will serve roasted beef tenderloin with a Sienna Ale sautéed crimini mushrooms, local tapenade with Collina di Mela Olive Oil, 24 Carrot Farms roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives and Jollity Farms Chevre goat cheese. Paired with a Borjon ‘Bull Rider’ St. Helena. After dinner from 7-8pm, guests can stand and mingle while enjoying bite size dessert samples from Bella Bru Cafe & Catering in El Dorado Hills. Bella Bru will also be providing dinner rolls for guests during dinner. Both the dessert pastries and dinner rolls will be made with fresh, local El Dorado County eggs, butter and berries. In addition to opening his beautiful 3,400 square foot kitchen to our chefs for the evening to create their culinary masterpieces, after dinner is completed, Mark Platt with Sienna Restaurant will keep his doors open for guests to enjoy an after dinner cocktail in their beautiful no host bar to end the elegant evening with more time to mingle. Our benefitting partner in this endeavor who will receive a portion of the proceeds is El Dorado County Ag in the Classroom, (www.agintheclass-edc.org), a local 501(c)(3). This nonprofit organization works to increase the awareness and importance of agriculture in our lives through educational programs reaching students from El Dorado Hills to South Lake Tahoe. Tickets are available for $175 per person and sponsorships start at $2,500. For more information on tickets and sponsorships, please call the El Dorado Hills Chamber at (916) 933-1335 or visit our official FaceBook page at www.facebook.com/EDHFarm2Fork
