Event Description: Join New Morning as we host our 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges - 911 Cook-Off! Watch as 21 First Responders agencies "battle it out" to become the "Best Culinarian in EDC"! Taste test fantastic chili from over 8 Fire Dept's, CHP, Probation, Police and many more! Enjoy live entertainment, Kids activities, beer & wine. We will also have many local vendors. This is a one of a kind event...so don't miss it! Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $20 online (until noon 2/23/2019) /$25 at the door Under 12 and under is FREE! Sponsorships are still available and there is still room for vendors. Space is limited. This is also the place to register your team. 100% of the proceeds got to New Morning Youth & Family Services. **New Morning has provided a safety net of services to youth and their families in El Dorado County since 1970. These services include the 24-hour Emergency Youth Shelter (the only one in El Dorado County) for homeless and runaway youth. We have programs to support alcohol and drug treatment for adolescents, counseling, and support for pregnant and parenting teens, and counseling for high-risk youth (youth who are abused, suicidal, experiencing school failure, runaway or thrown out of their home, or engaging in delinquent behavior).
