Event Description: The Folsom Garden Club invites the public to attend our annual spring garden tour "Gardens of Folsom". Seven Folsom homeowners will open their gardens for viewing from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th. The Self Guided tour will showcase a grouping of lovely gardens, including drought tolerant solutions. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions. Our ever popular plant sale and bake sale will return this year! Tickets: $15.00 for attendees 16 and over and include a brochure and with descriptions of each garden along with a map showing each garden location. Tour will be held "Rain or Shine" with no refunds. The Folsom Garden Club was founded in 1934, and is a non profit organization with a mission of providing programs of an educational nature that benefit the public. The 2015 Garden Tour is the major fundraising event for our club which is held to raise funds to fulfill this mission by awarding scholarship and grants. Funds raised at our past garden tours, have made it possible to award 31 scholarships, which total $35,200. In 2012 we added a new grant program and have awarded 13 grants totaling $12,835. Eleven of those grants were for local schools for maintenance and expansion of their school garden projects.
