Event Description: Stroll through five uniquely personal hillside sanctuaries and visit the Sherwood Demonstration Garden; two incredible acres featuring 16 gardening experiences. A Must See! The Assistance League® of Sierra Foothills presents their 7th annual Gardens of the Hills Event and Art Tour. The tour will be held Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th, from 10:00 am-5:00 pm. Your ticket provides entrance into five private hillside oases, each giving you a glimpse into the passion and loving energy the homeowners have put into creating their personal sanctuary. In addition, Assistance League is pleased to welcome you to the Sherwood Demonstration Garden, lovingly designed, constructed and managed by the UCCE Master Gardeners of El Dorado County, University of California Cooperative Extension. This amazing two-acre outdoor learning facility features 16 uniquely different gardens. Our very own Shangri-La and gardener’s paradise right here in El Dorado County! Besides touring marvelous gardens, guests have the opportunity to taste some of the finest wines in our county, browse the talent and creativity of many local artists and enter the Assistance League’s signature raffle. Assistance League is fortunate to have the support of many local businesses and is grateful for the continued sponsorship of Green Acres Nursery & Supply, Marshall Medical Center, Serrano, and El Dorado Savings Bank. 100% of all proceeds stay in El Dorado County and help its many families, children and seniors. Signature programs like Operation School Bell® help provide new school clothes to homeless and underprivileged children and Sports Locker offers scholarships and equipment to children who want to play organized youth sports.
