In March, Statherós supported the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado County at their annual Heroes Night. All proceeds from the dinner, live auction, and raffles supported the Boys and Girls Club and the various projects they are currently working on. Always a great event! 

Why do many service providers prioritize their own interests over their clients? Our CEO, Jake Parsons, spoke about just that at the Associated California Loggers Conference in Reno, NV. The 550 people in attendance learned about what differentiates advisory shops from other types of financial services providers and why Statherós is set up the way it is. 

Most advisors will only talk about what you will be investing in… but how you invest is just as important. There are two main schools of thought on how to go about investing a sum of money: 1. Lump Sum: Invest everything all at once. This means you're instantly in the market and getting exposure to market returns immediately, whether positive or negative. 2. Dollar-Cost Averaging:  Invest portions of the sum over a period of time. This has the potential to reduce short-term market losses by limiting initial exposure if the market experiences a decline in the near-term. It takes advantage of market volatility and potentially lowers your average cost of investments, but can sacrifice initial gains in a bull market. What should you do? There isn't one right answer for everyone. If you understand market risks and can handle the everyday volatility of the markets, a lump sum could be the way to go. However, if you are uneasy about significant market downswings after investing your money, dollar-cost averaging may be the best option for you.
