Gold Country Media is the proud publisher of community newspapers, Web sites, magazines and shoppers in California’s beautiful and dynamic Gold Country, stretching from the Interstate 80 corridor in Placer County to the Highway 50 corridor in Sacramento and El Dorado counties. Each of the newspapers produces a number of special sections, including full-gloss magazines distributed from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe. Each newspaper has a growing Web site, and in 2008 the sites advanced into community publishing through the creation of Myopolis, a platform allowing registered users to post stories, comments, blogs, photos and video for all to see
