Event Description:
Party in period style as you travel back in time! Join us as we celebrate the day the 18th amendment was repealed on December 5th, 1933. Four local wineries, Boeger, David Girard, Gold Hill, and Wofford Acres will be offering wine tasting at this event as well as soup, bread, and appetizers. Our premises at 399 Placerville Drive will be decorated to replicate a 1933 speakeasy and a password will be needed to enter. Vintage cars and Costumes are encouraged. There will be a poker run and tickets for drawing prizes. For those who choose to dress-up there will also be prizes for the best period costumes and live music for listening or dancing. Look out – you never know when Sheriff John D’Agostini and his trusty deputies will descend on the premises for a raid! Prepare to see some of our most upstanding citizens thrown in the pokey. You may be called upon to help make bail! All proceeds benefit Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises (MORE) and adults with developmental disabilities in El Dorado County. Tickets are available at MORE and each of the participating wineries or at www.morerehab.org for $20 each or $10 for your designated driver. Drivers will have the opportunity to win special prizes. Call (530) 622-4848 or go to www.morerehab.org for tickets or more info.
