Event Description: (Placerville, Calif.)—The El Dorado County Economic Development Office and the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce will be teaming up again to conduct the third annual Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Business Walk on May 9, 2012. County officials and regional business professionals will take part in a walking tour of the businesses in Shingle Springs and Cameron Park to gain feedback from business owners and managers about the business climate in the community. “We want to hear what people like about doing business in the county, as well as the challenges,” said Kathy Matranga-Cooper from the county Economic Development Office. Walking volunteers are needed for the event and business sponsorships are available. Businesses interested in sponsoring the Business Walk should contact the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce at (530) 677-8000 by April 13. Individuals interested in participating as a walker should contact the Chamber by Tuesday, May 1. “Business owners are extremely busy running their business day to day,” said Matranga-Cooper. “Business walks provide a forum for immediate feedback on the improvement of our local economy from those who know it best.”
