We are a non-profit organization/club at Oak Ridge High School, striving to provide academic materials for students in need all over the world. Any school supplies that are new or barely used would be greatly appreciated. We are also collecting baby supplies, such as diapers and sundries, so any items that are baby-related and new would also be appreciated for our outreach.

Japanese/USA Youth Summits 10/7/2019 - 6/30/2020

El Dorado County Chapter of People to People International is sponsoring two youth summits in the years 2020 & 2022. Next summer, July 25-August 2, 2020 we will host 15 Japanese youths from our Sister City of Warabi, Japan. We are looking for youths, ages 13-17, to participate in the summit and to host a Japanese youth during the summit. The only cost for participants other than hosting (providing meals and accommodations) is that one member of the family needs to join our chapter of People to People - $40/year. Then in the summer of 2022, we will send 15-20 youths to Warabi, Japan who will be hosted by Japanese families and participate in exciting activities. Experience a unique culture! April 20, 2020 Press Release: Per the California Department of Public Health’s Executive Order N-33-20 in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, the stay at home order remains and requires the cancellation of public events for the foreseeable future. In light of these unprecedented times, the Chamber’s Board of Directors regrettable voted to not reschedule the 17th Annual Art, Beer & Wine Festival from May 9-10, 2020 to any date in 2020. The next El Dorado Hills Art, Beer & Wine Festival is planned for May 8-9, 2021.

You are invited to the 17th Annual Art, Beer & Wine Festival in El Dorado Hills Town Center during Mother's Day Weekend, Saturday & Sunday, May 9th & 10th. Enjoy an entire weekend of many of the region’s best artisans, craft beer, wine, live music, delicious food, and great company!

Admission is Free!

Tasting Kits are on sale now with early bird pricing! Tasting Kits include a souvenir tasting glass, UNLIMITED tasting privileges of dozens of craft breweries and wineries, and lots of fun! The Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce Crowning Program takes great pride in promoting positive role models in El Dorado County between the ages of 15 and 25 who are passionate about volunteering, strive for academic excellence, and/or are determined to overcome difficulties in an effort to achieve their hopes and dreams in life. Each year, Camo Queen, and other local business leaders embrace the crowning program and seek nominations of youth in El Dorado County who are positive role models and wonderful examples of continued faith, courage, and hope in our community. Our goal is for selected individuals to serve as mentors and provide hope for other young people who may be struggling in life and believe that they may have nowhere else to turn. The Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce coordinates many business leader gatherings throughout the year... selected individuals are also asked to attend at least three, are invited to the Holiday Christmas Party and asked to ride the float in the Hangtown Placerville Christmas Parade. All nominations received by April 1st, will be reviewed and considered. A maximum of 10 nominations will be selected and invited to participate in the Crowning Ceremony on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. A business leader who makes a successful nomination will receive special recognition in the event program on the night of the ceremony.
