The Davies Family Inn at ShadowRidge Ranch

We had our wedding here in July 2023 and we got so many compliments about how gorgeous this location is and we couldn't agree more. The venue and cabin space is just serene and you feel like you are secluded from everything. We got to bring in all our own vendors, but the staff we worked with here was just wonderful. Linda and Patricia were so accommodating and friendly. We loved being able to bring in our own keg to the bar. They created our bar sign based on our requests and worked with our day of coordinator so well. We also loved being able to rent out the cabins and stay on the property the night before and the night of our wedding. We would absolutely do it all over again and we wish we could relive our perfect weekend! Thank you!

There are so many wonderful things about this venue that it is hard to not go on forever about it. From my first visit to my last day, Linda was awesome. She was friendly, funny, patient, supportive, flexible, and so much more. I loved working with her for my son's wedding and rehearsal dinner. Linda was so sweet to Justin and Holly too. She even helped get his cabin cleaned up from the groomsman and set up the rose petals and candles for their wedding night. She also helped me late into the night. Linda made the whole experience less stressful.
The venue is great for a wedding. I recommend renting everything so you have all the grounds for your family. Plenty of room to gather in the lodge and feed everyone during the day preparing for the wedding and the girls to get ready. The groomsmen loved the man cave/bar under the big cabin. Everything was perfect for our outdoorsy kids.
We also had the rehearsal dinner in the upper level by the waterfall which made it so lovely.
I would definitely recommend them for any type of event.

I honestly cannot wait to come back here.

My friend and I stayed at the Davies Family Inn after spending the day at Apple Hill, not for a wedding or anything fancy, but I can see how this place would attract those types of events. The property itself is away from the main road and just absolutely gorgeous.
Linda greeted us upon our arrival, we were about 15 minutes early for check-in, and she was so helpful when we got there! I guess there was some minor issue with the initial room I booked, so she switched us to a private cabin. "Betty's Cabin" had a little mini kitchenette, full bathroom, and overly spacious (in the best way possible) sleeping/lounging area. We even got lucky and were greeted by friendly cows and their babies when getting out of the car!
The room was chilly initially, but wood stockpiled right outside of the front door/cabin made warming easy. The woodstove puts out a ton of heat, and the space was warm in no time at all. Linda also assured to have plenty of blankets in the cabin, about four additional on the bed and two extra by the chairs, so we stayed plenty cozy!! My friend enjoyed the bed; he said it was one of the comfiest he has ever slept on in any lodging. I had a bit of a more challenging time, but I also have specific firmness requirements for my back; the pillows were super plush and comfy, though.

Linda very sweetly offered us to stay later than the 11 am checkout time as there weren't any guests checking in after us. Late checkout would have been fantastic for us, but we wanted to get back on the road because of snow expectations for the drive home. I hope to be able to return when it's a little snowier up there, such a perfect little getaway spot. No breakfast this time around but that was to be expected with COVID-19 restrictions. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit the cute historic town of Placerville (which is only about a 5-mile drive from this Inn)!

On the 2nd of April my girlfriend and I scheduled a night at the B and B. Entered all our information and credit card and we received information that we will be contacted.

We arrived and they said they were closed. This was never discloses.

We drive back down Sacramento.

Visited here for fundraiser so didn't actually see the real establishment. The fundraiser was great and it's a nice drive out but I really can't say other than that

I cannot express how happy we are having chosen this venue for our wedding on 7/21/18. Linda was gracious, kind, funny, and very generous. She is very experienced with weddings and assisted any way she could making sure I was not stressed.

The rooms are immaculate and the main house welcoming. From the bar and staff keeping our drinks ICE COLD, to the updated kitchen, coolers and appliances, everything came out better than expected. We will be using this gorgeous place often for future family reunions, celebrations and weekend getaways. :)

Words can't begin express what a magical wedding my daughter had at Davies Family Inn. The venue was absolutely amazing! It is private, large, well maintained and the perfect setting for a wedding or event. There are so many neat places to take pictures, socialize and just have a great time. To make it even better Linda and her team go above and beyond to ensure your day goes off without a hitch. Thanks Linda and team for creating such a wonderful day for us and our guests!

We stayed here for two days in Betty's Cabin. Jim went out of his way to have the wood stove going when we arrived and even baked cookies. Damn.
Breakfast was the jam both days - everything was delicious and Jim came over to do so on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

What a place! Looking for a wedding venue or a location for a large gathering - you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer place in the foothills! We did not stay here, but we were here for a large event and the facilities are top notch. It's out in the 'boonies' a bit - but the seclusion is so worth it.
