Trico Painting

Just ok. Their rep Marcus was very friendly and easy to work with. He listened to my needs and helped walk me through all of my questions, which I appreciated. He was sometimes a little hard to get a hold of, but he's client facing all day so understandable. They do have a longer warranty than other painters, which is a plus.

The paint crew leader, Guadalupe was great very knowledgeable and a hard worker. The rest of the crew, left something to be desired. Throughout the project I was checking on the progress. There were lots of missed areas, especially top trims on windows. I ended up using a ladder to check all of our windows, and some I just fixed myself. Our siding is wood and the bottom edges were never sprayed by them. I've gone back and done a lot of it myself by hand. I did have them come back out to fix a few things and the guy sent out just did sloppy work. Rushed through the asks, painted right over chipped paint instead of scraping it and then painting.

There are still some spots I need them to come back out and fix, they insisted they were imperfections in the wood, but I checked and nope, it's paint bubbles and chip/peeling paint.

The crew was messy throughout the process, lots of trash everywhere. There was a good amount of overspray on our plants and dirt against the foundation. The project was very rushed at the end, which didn't sit well with me. A wood siding house just takes more time, I wish they had taken that into account.

Marcus did want to ensure I was satisfied with the job, so that's nice. But, the more time i've had to look over the paint job the more issues I have seen and just handled myself to save on trying to schedule with Trico.

I've had Trico out for a bid on exterior painting of my current home and had regretted not using them. Now that I'm considering moving, I decided to call for a ballpark estimate on what it would cost to paint a similar sized house with no dry rot. I even told the receptionist / coordinator (Jenny) that she could give me the higher end of average estimate for a house that size. She was totally professional until this point, and had even asked me where the house was located. She then said, "$20,000 to $30,000 should cover that kind of project, ok my phones ringing," and hung up on me. I called her back, and objectively told her that I was genuinely considering using her company, but due to her facetious attitude, she's cost her company my business and any potential references I could have sent her way.

If providing this kind of information is contrary to your policy, then simply say so. Don't proceed as if you're going to and then hang up on a lead.

I don't wish ill for her, only that she reconsiders her attitude and its long term affects on her company.

Great experience! Was able to get a quote, schedule and communicate colors with ease. I had a concern during the job and the owner returned my call during the evening, responsive and concern resolved. The job performed exceeded our expectations and we are so happy!!

Did not want to write this-but the way this went down still doesn't sit right.
Hired them to paint kitchen cabinets/baseboards. They ruined brand new cabinet doors, left paint all over/damaged brand new hardwood, and primer on tile. I lost count of the attempts we allowed them to get it right -but they couldn't deliver and it doesn't matter because they walked away from the job after labeling us "picky" customers.

-Their personnel fighting amongst themselves at our home and not showing up hurts the product the customers are paying for.

-Project manager was initially pleasant, but the second I had questions- I was told , "We aren't making money on this job."

-Owner assured me he would make it right by sending his best painter- but changed his mind and did not complete the job.
To their credit they gave us our money back and payed for the damaged cabinets-but over a month later still finding paint everywhere.

We've remodeled several homes, working with numerous companies and never had such an experience.

Fantastic customer service. Quick to respond and flexible to change when we had to push our start date back twice. Tim and his crew were first rate and my wife and I are looking forward to using them again after they did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our home.

Trico painting just completed our cabinet painting project today and it looks beautiful! A lot of care was taken to do the job correctly so the paint will hold up for years to come. The team was clearly very skilled at what they do and they arrived on time to complete the work. Our job was delayed a little due to misty weather making the cabinets take longer to dry. They communicated well with me about that and I am super pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend them!

Wanted to review Trico Painting and the great job they did painting my home. They arrived on time,did the work as promised,dealt with all minor touch-up before they left and cleaned up after themselves. They went out of their way to make sure my wife and I were happy with everything. The Sherwin Williams paint they used looks great and the colors came out just like the palette swatches from the manufacturer. Highly recommend.
